One of our favorite parts of the Back to Class Series has been meeting other dance professionals, hearing about their career plans, and learning about their passions and projects.
One of the dancers we’ve met is Chandler Joslin, an OU grad, Pilates instructor, and gorgeous dancer. Soon after we got to know her she shared with us her latest project, and we had to share it with as many people as we can. Below you can read about this project, in Chandler’s own words.
“On July 29, my friend Reagan McDonald‘s life changed forever when she was diagnosed with leukemia. Not only was I devastated by this news, but I felt helpless in being able to do something about it. Reagan has always been full of love and light to those around her, and has a spirit of compassion in everything she does. In an effort to help ease the cost burden on her and her family, we have decided to put on a Dance Benefit Concert in her honor, with all proceeds going to her treatments.
Introducing Joslin Contemporary Dance Company: “Dance For Reagan”. “Dance For Reagan” will be a contemporary dance concert scheduled for the Spring of 2015, so let’s spread the word and dance for an incredible girl and help her fight this battle! We are looking for dancers to audition Sunday, Sept. 7 at Dance Concept, 17+. Please visit our Facebook page Joslin Contemporary Dance Company: Dance For Reagan and SHARE!!!! Let’s get excited and DANCE FOR REAGAN!!!”
