March 11, 2016 – Hannah Ernest Requa, Contemporary Ballet

Hannah is a Company Dancer with Bruce Wood Dance Project. Her class consists of a traditional ballet barre followed by a contemporary center.

Krista is on dance faculty at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts and Texas Dance Conservatory and is a dancer/choreographer with imPULSE dance project.

April 1, 2016 – Frieda Austin, PiYo Workout (6:30-7:45)

Frieda is a DFW dance teacher. Get a high intensity workout with low impact through the combination of Pilates & Yoga. It’s a great way to get fit or build strength. This class is open to all adults over the age of 18; Any level or style of dancer or mover is welcome!

After class we plan to grab a snack, drink, dinner at Central Market across the street. Join us!

Joy is Rehearsal Director & Repetiteur for Bruce Wood Dance Project.

April 29, 2016 – Alex Masi, Contemporary Technique

Alex is a Florida and Texas-based Choreographer & Dancer, Yoga teacher, Gyrokinesis® & Gyrotonic® Trainer, and Fulbright Scholar. She describes her class as an interdisciplinary approach to contemporary technique featuring movement inspired by yoga, hip-hop, Gyrotonic (R), and other dance forms.

May 6, 2016 – Kiera Amison, Intermediate/Advanced Modern

Kiera is a TCC South Dance Program Director and performer/choreographer with Muscle Memory Dance Theatre. Kiera’s class concentrates on use of breath, head tail connectivity, and exploring the full reach of distal limbs.  Class will include a warm up, across the floor, and center combination.

May 27, 2016 – Kristi Rittby, Smart Barre – Open Level

Kristi is Owner of Smart Barre Cityview and Bluebonnet Circle.

Smart Barre practices concentrated movements that function as deep sculpting tools to strengthen and lengthen muscles. As a total body workout, this class fuses principles of ballet, Pilates, and yoga to target the core, hips, thighs, seat and arms. A traditional ballet barre is used to help maintain balance and provide resistance. In addition to the barre, light weights, a playground ball, and a cushy mat are used. An efficient, upbeat workout, you will find it a “smart” use of time.

This class is open to all adults over the age of 18; Any level or style of dancer or mover is welcome!

Margot Martin is Owner and Founder of The Ballet Burn®.  Catherine Roe is a Certified Instructor for The Ballet Burn® and Community Enrichment Coordinator for Texas Ballet Theater.

November 18, 2016 – Whitney Geldon, Contemporary Dance

Whitney is a Co-Director with Big Rig Dance Collective and teaches dance at University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University.

Kihyoung is a Professor of Dance and the Director of Movers Unlimited Touring Dance Company on the Northeast Campus of Tarrant County College. Kihyoung holds a Ph.D. in dance with an emphasis in dance pedagogy from Texas Woman’s University.

No experience required! The Dailey Method samples the best benefits from multiple fitness disciplines to achieve a strong, lean, and sculpted body. Wear socks with traction or take class barefoot! Leah danced with Charleston Ballet and Ballet Magnificat. She is a licensed massage therapist and an instructor at The Dailey Method Colleyville.

May 5, 2017 – no class

In lieu of our regular class on Friday, May 5th, join us at Salsa Limon across the street from Erma Lowe Hall where we’ll catch up and network with our dance community. We’d love to see you and chat about dance life! We’ll arrive at Salsa Limon at 5:30 and walk over to the opening night of Dark Circles Contemporary Dance Spring Series, (Use code DCCDFDFW for a discount on tickets!) BLEACHERS, in Fort Worth at Erma Lowe Studio B Theater at TCU. There will be world premieres and a Q&A after the show!   We hope to see you for any or all of this time, and if you can’t make it we hope you get a chance to see their Saturday or Sunday performances.
