Jennifer Mabus comes from a rich career as a performing artist, dancing with Robert Battle (founding dancer of Battleworks, NYC), Amy Marshall Dance Company (NYC), Heidi Latsky (NYC), Takehiro Ueyama (NYC), Bruce Wood Dance Project (TX), Noble Motion Dance (TX), and Dark Circles Contemporary Dance (founding dancer, TX). She is currently a founding dance artist of the Transitory Sound and Movement Collective. She has served on the dance faculties of Texas Christian University, Booker T Washington HSPVA, Interlochen Arts Academy, Houston’s HSPVA, and Sam Houston State University. Additionally, Jennifer has presented her own choreography in New York and Texas at the Dance Gallery Festival, Dumbo Dance Festival, Interlochen Arts Academy, UT/Dallas, and the Miller Outdoor Theater. She was the 2015 Rice University Dance Artist in Residence, one of Noble Motion Dance’s 2016 “Next Step” emerging artists, and and one of Dance Source Houston’s 2017 Artists in Residence, and has been commissioned to create works for Met Dance, Pilot Dance Project, Contemporary Ballet Dallas, Muscle Memory Dance Theater, Elle Danceworks and Omega Dance. Mabus received her BFA in Dance from Southern Methodist University and her MFA from Sam Houston State University.

Class Description: “Ballet for all Dancers”
This will be an alignment-based ballet technique class, focused complimenting healthy technique with the inherent knowledge of a dance artist in any form. We will work to deepen musicality within the body, aesthetic choices, and finding pleasure in the effort.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class with your email receipt and confirmation number as proof of purchase. If you are purchasing your class at the door we accept payment in cash, check or credit card.

*Class will be available for online purchase ($15) through January 11 or until the class is at capacity. On January 12 the price rises to $20. If for some reason you are unable to attend, you can cancel your class for a partial refund any time up until 24 hours prior to the class. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to your class will not be eligible for a refund. Please be aware that if you do not make your purchase in advance, you may not be permitted to take class due to limited space.
