Kihyoung Choi is a Professor of Dance and the Director of Movers Unlimited Touring Dance Company on the Northeast Campus of Tarrant County College. Kihyoung holds a Ph.D. in dance with an emphasis in dance pedagogy from Texas Woman’s University. She received her M.A. in dance kinesiology with a specialization in biomechanical analysis of movements from Yonsei University. Kihyoung began her professional dance training in Yewon Art Middle School in Seoul, Korea where she rigorously studied ballet, Korean dance, and modern dance. She has performed with the Korean National Ballet Company, Sangmook Chae Traditional Korean Dance Company, and Satellite Dance. Kihyoung has served on the faculties of University of North Texas, the American College Dance Festival, Denton Dance Conservatory, Yonsei Universiy (Korea), and Dankook University (Korea). Kihyoung has been an invited guest teacher for dance and the Child international (daCi) and the Cecchetti Council of America, as well as a guest artist for the 2014 DanceTCU Concert at Texas Christian University and the 2011 Faculty Concert and Symposium at the University of North Texas. Her choreography has been commissioned for dance festivals and conferences. Her recent work was chosen by the Dallas Dance Council of North Texas for the Dallas DanceFest 2014.

Kihyoung Choi’s ballet technique class focuses on exploring dynamic possibilities of the movement through utilizing the flow of energy and mechanical and bio-mechanical principles.

*Class will be available for online purchase until January 6 at noon or until the class is at capacity. If for some reason you are unable to attend, you can cancel your class for a partial refund any time up until 24 hours prior to the class. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to your class will not be eligible for a refund. Please be aware that if you do not make your purchase in advance, you may not be permitted to take class due to limited space.
