Merrill West has been a New York-based professional performing artist for over fifteen years. She has the honor of being one of the World Famous Radio City Rockettes for seven seasons. During that time, she performed in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and traveled the country as PR spokesperson and Master Class teacher for the Radio City Rockettes and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular. She was an original cast member of the 2001 Tony Award winning revival of 42nd Street on Broadway. Merrill was featured in the national advertisement and television campaigns for 42nd Street as well as the original soundtrack recording of the show. She has appeared on the Today Show, The Rosie O’Donnell Show, Late Night with David Letterman, 2001 Tony Awards, PBS Broadway Treasures and Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. National tour credits include Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. She has appeared at numerous regional theatres across the country. Notable credits include Gregory Hines in Concert (Tampa Bay PAC), Bombularina in Cats (Sacramento Music Circus), Dorcas in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (The MUNY), Vera in Crazy for You (Pittsburgh CLO, Casa Manana and North Shore Music Theatre), and most recently in Hello Dolly! at Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C., which won the honorable Helen Hayes Award for Best Ensemble, Choreography, Direction and Resident Best Musical .
Born and raised in Texas, Merrill received her early training from her mother, a well-respected dance teacher in Fort Worth. She spent summers training on scholarship at the EDGE Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, Steps on Broadway in New York City and TCU School for Classical and Contemporary Dance. She has trained with acclaimed teachers such as Joe Lanteri, Andy Blakenbuehler, Suzi Taylor, Randy Skinner, Ray Leeper, Bill Prudich, Carol Connors and Graciela Kozak. In the last few years, Merrill has branched out into choreography and teaching. She has taught master classes for TCU, NYU, CCM, and Towson University as well as Sacramento Music Circus and Busch Gardens. She holds a Bachelor of Music from New York University and is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association.
Merrill’s class consists of a jazz-based, high-energy warm up, continued by movement from Broadway shows and classic musical theater repertory.

*Each class will be available for online purchase until 24 hours prior to the class or until the class is at capacity. If for some reason you are unable to attend, you can cancel your class for a partial refund any time up until 48 hours prior to the class. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to your class will not be eligible for a refund. Please be aware that if you do not make your purchase in advance, you may not be permitted to take class due to limited space.
