This is Michelle’s fourth year on Dance Faculty at Booker T. Washington HSPVA, where she also serves as Director of the World Dance Ensemble.

Class Description: The Horton Technique, developed by Lester Horton, is a modern dance technique that incorporates diverse elements of Native American Folk Dance, Japanese arm gestures, Javanese and Balinese isolations and elements of Afro-Caribbean movements.  The technique emphasizes a whole body, anatomical approach to dance that increases flexibility, strength, coordination and body and spatial awareness, and prepares the dancer for any type of movement technique.
